It is one of the largest complexes in the world.

It is in Madinnah Al-Munawarrah, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the distance of 15 km from the mosque of the Holy prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

The Objective of the Complex

The complex performs a lot of activities which are: The printing of Holy Quran and interpreting it, the translation of its meaning, the service of the Sunnat of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) there are more than 2,000 employees and workers, among them, and scholars, administrators technicians, engineers, and the supervisors.

Their efforts are confined in the production of the Holy Quran to the highest quality of printing, according to the correctness of the text, and the exactitude of the writing clarifications and beauty. The complex started to operate in Safar 1405 A.H. corresponding to October 1984. Its main objectives are:-

1- The issuing of the Holy Quran in the name of the Holy Quran of Madinnah Munawarrah according to the correct descriptions.

2- To issue translations of the meaning of the Holy Quran in different languages.

3- To tape the Holy Quran on cassettes of the best readers in the Islamic countries with different ways of reading.

4- To confine the printing of the Holy Quran only and not to print it in any other printing office within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Prohibit the importation of the Holy Quran from outside to confirm its texts.

5- To satisfy the need of the two Holy Mosques, mosques, schools, universities, Islamic organizations, the groups of craming the Holy Quran, and the markets and others. Qurans translations and recordings to forbid the acceptance of any other curricula from inside or outside.

6- To satisfy the need of the Arab and the Islamic world of what is issued and provided by the Ministry of Al-Awakaf and Islamic Affairs, co-operation sand Islamic centers abroad.

7- To make the complex as the scientific center for the correction of the Holy Quran and the Sunnat of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and science.

The Complex and the Associates

The complex is built at the area of 200,000 m2, where printing and its different parts of 1,000 m2 are done.

The complex of Madinnah is integrated consisting of mosque, administrative building and printing place, control building, office, clinics, maintenance and transportation department, warehouses, market and the burning of the stories and the damaged Qurans.

The complex uses lazer rays to read and to recite to make sure of not missing any text.

The complex consists of many printing machines in the world whether at surface printing machines in the world whether at surface printing procedure, as "Roland" machines from Germany are specified for this refined work or the recording of the tape cassettes (Rolo) and the American Harris machines are used.

The supervision of the Quranic text

Specified group of scholars from the text supervision or control department do the necessary work of the correction after the fixing of the ink and the machine, and before printing, it could be applied according to the approved text, and after that, the text will be taken from the machine at work at the average of every five minutes, and the other committee of scholars and the specialists revise it to make sure of its safety and that there was no fault on the machine during work and printing. At the discovering of any mistakes, the machine will be stopped and correct the mistake, and to get rid of the faulty text, the control department records the mistakes found in each print so the committee of the final control shall make sure that, there is no mistake in any text during the time of production.

After printing the completed text will be taken to the section of assembly for sewing and binding, and then the Quran is put in volumes on the frames bearing in each group of 900 Holy Qurans. the control section shall read page by page for thorough correction, and the supervisor can put a sign on the tested Quran.

The work does not on this stage, but the inspection committee shall go over the controllers to take samples and check them after finishing the control steps of every Quran, and write a report consisting of the mistake of the reproduction and observations the complex has also printed all the Holy Quran of its different types of good quality and correctness.
